Climax 1203 resting quietly. It was built in 1913 for the Potate Timber Co. of Matapuna near Taumarunui New Zealand. A ten year restoration was commissioned in 1980. The boiler now needs more work. Stats: 20 Ton 9 x 12 inch cylinders 120lb BP 30-inch wheels TE 6000lb.

L Class Steam Engine L508 was restored in 1998 to factory finish condition costing $300 Thousand. It was one of ten built in 1877 by the Avonside Engine Company. It sold to the Public Works Dept' in 1901 and was renumbered L508. Stats: 20 ton 10.5 x 18 inch cylinders 160lb brake horsepower.
