STUDIO 555's 'Te Awamutu Live' provided live sound mixing and recording for the 'March in the Park' Sunday concert at the Memorial Park 2.3.03 in Te Awamutu New Zealand.
Comedian 'Roso' (Grant Rosoman) was MC for the Concert.

Heavy Lounge Suite Live:

'KELLY TAUROA'
Blues and jazz singer Kelly Tauroa of Te Awamutu, opened the show with a performance of original material. She was joined for later numbers by jazz guitarist Cameron Olsen, also originally from Te Awamutu.

'HEAVY LOUNGE SUITE'
Mr Olsen's Raglan based band Heavy Lounge Suite followed. The band played a mix of 'jazz tones, moody blues and Latin grooves'. Their opening number featured a digereedoo.

'SHENANEGANS'
The third act was Te Awamutu's own Irish band Shenanigans.
Featuring Brian Jeffs of Te Awamutu (banjo), Kihikihi's Jane Blackler (fiddle) and Hamiltonians Keith Maynard (guitar and vocals) and Denise Hudson (bass).
Adding to the Celtic flavour, they were joined twice during their set by Gaidyn Flay (bagpipes)
The Shenanegans had been recording for a CD release.

'PENNYDROP'
Pennydrop closed the show with melodic pop and rock originals. The year old six piece line-up featured, Colin Jacobs of Te Awamutu (trumpet), Hamiltonians Brad Wallbank (songwriting, guitar and vocals), Tobin Pescud (guitar), Martin Finney (bass) and from Kaipaki Sue Elliot (vocals) and Luke Elliot (drums). Pennydrop are planning for a CD release.
